Writing is an essential component of the College and Career Ready Standards and next generation assessments. Therefore, it's critical to teach students how to use text-dependent evidence to write clearly and impressively.
In this five-part workshop, teachers will gain the steps and tools to confidently teach informational writing. From one sentence responses to multi-paragraph essays, Writing with Design covers the what, why, and how of this important type of writing and makes writing a worthwhile activity across a teacher’s curriculum.
- Learn how to craft one-sentence to paragraph writing that integrates text-based, informational evidence.
- Utilize sample writing from classrooms as part of the Writing with Design process.
- Understand how to utilize Writing with Design rubrics for clarity in writing.
- Engage in highly collaborative and fun professional learning.
Registration includes Writing With Design materials, training, continental breakfast and lunch.
