Celebrating Your Students with Our Writing Contests
Like many educators, we simply love getting creativity from the students we know. Whether they’re creating a multimedia project, drawing in their journals, or of course, writing a great essay, they inspire us to see all the possibilities. It's completely amazing how much imagination is locked away inside their minds, just ready to burst out when given the chance.
So currently, to tap into that world, we put together a writing contest every single month. While Writing with Design shifts the conversation away from grade levels, our writing contests still provide grade level guides for you. And the writing prompts! We design every contest around what’s going on that month. Some months it might be celebrating the season, and other months might be focused on contemplating certain ideas. Your students might write a short story one month and then an essay the next. And they can even give you a chance to win some cash for your class and for themselves!
The main idea though is to celebrate the young writers in your classroom. Every month gives us a new opportunity to see their creativity as they explore countless ideas. Is there anything more inspiring than that?
